Although smaller projects come and go during the year, once or twice a year  Val Anderson gets a large-scale project that is note-worthy.

The latest challenge? To impersonate 2 characters, and create 12 others. Not usually a tough call.

     The difference THIS time? The characters to be created had to be non-caricature, simple voices that were not overtly identifiable by Val’s usual character styles. 

     It was time for a new approach to a multi-personality project with an as-yet UN-characteristic ‘brown-wrapper’ style for the personalities to be heard in this new reality style simulation/strategy game.

      Out of the starting gate, this project was a challenge with a potential of 1,500 recorded passages. The game, created and produced by French simulation game maker ‘Eversim’  called “The Race To The White House” is to be released in the next 2 weeks.

     This game will feature Val’s impersonations of both president Obama, as well as contender Mitt Romney. The game also features a 3rd party candidate that will run in the simulated race for the executive office as well as a host of ancillary characters to provide the air of an actual Presidential race with all the trappings including and not limited to: TV commercials, ‘dirty tricks’ telephone campaigns, ‘Super-PAC’ contributors, campaign advisors, mud slingers, journalists, et al.

     The game will be released on all formats – PC, MAC, Android, and more by the end of July, and you can run as any one of the 3 candidates in the game which will be updated with passages based on current events all the way up till November 7th when the race has presumably concluded barring any complications a la Bush vs. Gore circa 2000.
